We consider degrading engineering systems monitored by sensors. Since accurate information is crucial for predicting system health condition and the subsequent decision-making, considering effect of sensor degradation highly important to determine justified reliability characteristics such as remaining useful life (RUL). Although concept has been introduced previously in literature, estimation this case or parameter presence not studied detail. To fill gap, study aims estimate RUL a that continuously sensor. In work, distinguish from main system, an additional calibration used accurately inspect at certain points time. Subsequently, maximum-a-posteriori technique employed parameters process maximum likelihood degradation. A Kalman filter then states, followed evaluation. numerical example with simulated data illustrate effectiveness proposed method. It shown through neglecting can result significant errors estimation, which further impact maintenance decisions.
